CDM
Cable and fiber networks in one system
CDM (Customer Device Manager) replaces separate cable and fiber tools with one consistent system. Cable modems and CMTS, ONU devices and OLT terminals, subscribers, services and IP addressing with Kea DHCP — all in a modern SPA interface with a REST API v2, deployed on-prem so subscriber data never leaves your network.
How it helps day to day
One system instead of two
Hybrid operators don't need to maintain separate tools: the full DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 modem lifecycle plus ONU/OLT on GPON/EPON — with shared search, records and permissions.
See the outage before the subscriber calls
CMTS and OLT explorers classify the health of ports, cards and whole devices using signal and temperature thresholds. Live TX Power, SNR and RxLevel monitoring without refreshing the page.
Fewer truck rolls thanks to PNM
Pre-equalization analysis pinpoints physical-layer faults — tilt, ripple, echoes — and computes the distance to the reflection point in meters before you dispatch a technician.
Subscribers and IP addressing included
Subscriber database with CPE ownership history, service catalog, IPv4/IPv6 pools and full Kea DHCP integration: networks, pools, MAC reservations.
Your data stays with you
On-prem deployment (Docker), granular RBAC with operator scoping, event audit and backups from the UI — GDPR compliance without sending data to the cloud.
Open API and integrations
REST API v2 with OpenAPI/Swagger, Prometheus metrics, SNMP and Net47 integration — CDM plugs into the operator's existing OSS/BSS ecosystem.
PNM diagnostics: locate plant faults without a site visit
Every DOCSIS modem tunes a pre-equalization filter that mirrors the distortions of the cable path to the CMTS. CDM reads this data and turns it into a concrete diagnosis — PNM-class (Proactive Network Maintenance) functionality usually found only in dedicated, expensive measurement systems.
- Good / Marginal / Bad plant quality rating in every modem's record
- Tilt, ripple, echo energy and group delay — per upstream channel
- Frequency and impulse response charts like an RF analyzer
- Computed distance to the reflector (e.g. a badly terminated drop) in meters
- Metrics in Prometheus — ready for alerts and trend reports
- Built-in chart interpretation guide for technicians (EN/PL)
What your team gains
NOC
An aggregate health view of CMTS and OLT: which ports and cards have problems, how many subscribers are affected and where to start. The ⌘K command palette shortens every operation.
Field service & maintenance
Diagnose before you drive: PNM plant quality, 24h/72h parameter history, ONU optical levels with warning thresholds. The interface also works on phones and tablets.
Customer support
From ticket to device record in seconds: search by name, address, MAC or serial number. Notes with version history and the subscriber's full device history.
Administrators
RBAC with granular permissions and operator scoping, API tokens, event audit, database backups from the UI and configuration changes without restarting the app.
Who it's for
- Hybrid operators (HFC + FTTH)
- Cable TV operators
- Fiber network operators
- NOC and field service teams
Under the hood
Deployment, licensing & support
On-prem deployment
The whole system is a Docker Compose stack on Linux — run it on your own server, in full control of your data and network.
A license that matches your scale
A digitally signed license enables modules (DOCSIS, PON) and CPE limits — you pay for what you actually use. License swaps without a restart.
Active development and support
Version 3.3.x and under active development. Documentation and technical support for licensed users.
Works well together
ripdr
IPDR analytics from CMTS/CCAP in ClickHouse and Grafana — complements CDM monitoring with traffic and utilization statistics.
ACS · TR-069Xeraos ACS
CDM manages the access network, while Xeraos ACS manages devices in the subscriber's home (TR-069): routers, ONTs, VoIP gateways.
